- Drawing Together-Artist Christina Spiesel,
Ninon Lacey, Ruth Miller, Christina Spiesel, and Sandra Stone have been
drawing together since 1982. They would hire a model weekly and draw, not
sharing their work. When the model failed to show up, they would draw from
each other. Now they have become each other’s motifs. The drawings in the
show reflect twenty minute poses and are only incidentally portraits. This
show will be the first occasion for the artists to see these drawings as
well as people who come to the exhibition! All four artists have long-term
connections to
New Haven
and use drawing in conjunction with their professional work in other media.
