The entertainment arranged for Club Members offers a rich and varied selection of musical tastes and themes. The 2008-2009 season hosts ‘Come Fly with Me’, a Cabaret with a modern twist on classical themes, performed by Douglas Williams, following his sold-out performance of last year.

In the fall, Stacey Rose performs with her take on the classical masters with “Bach, Beethoven, and Me.” As the winter holidays approach, our members enjoy our own New Haven Diva, Anne Tofflemire, with her Winter Wonderland production.

Guests start the evening with cocktails and a light dinner prepared at the Club by our own Executive Chef, Adam Soliwoda and his talented staff.

Dancing, Parties, & Holiday Celebrations

The New Haven Lawn Club Ballroom is wonderfully spacious and elegant hall that says “Celebrate!”  in every detail.  The wooden floor was specially constructed just for dancing, with a spring to the step that makes waltzing, the tango, or modern dance the joyful experience it was meant to be.

This space fits hundreds for dancing and dining for Valentine’s Day Parties and New Year’s Eve Galas.  The Ballroom features great acoustics and its stage welcomes musicians, vocalists, plays, and dance reviews.  We also host events in the Club Lounge and out on the Terrace when the weather is warm.

Members and their guests will enjoy the many special events hosted by the New Haven Lawn Club for the Winter Holidays and throughout the year.

Members can reserve the ballroom for their own special occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs, and graduations.  Our own New Haven Lawn Club Catering and our event planning team will be glad to help you create a celebration no one will soon forget!

The Lawn Club Art Shows

For many decades, the Lawn Club has been pleased to display rotating Art Gallery showings by some of the finest talents in Connecticut and the nation.  Each artist’s work is displayed in the Grill Room Rotunda for at least a month and is welcomed in with an Opening Night Celebration to meet the artist, mingle, and enjoy cocktails with family and friends.

Our shows have featured local and member artists of great talent working in a wide variety of media and in a range of styles.  Impressionist paintings, modern abstract work, classic portraits, and unique sculpture has been displayed in our halls, and each show has brought its own ambience and influence to its surroundings and our members.
